I Didn't Even Know Her Name

I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HER NAME...
A COLLECTION OF POEMS
by JACI

PARABLE

Spider knows
       each strand of Her web

and when Her callers
       break away
       destroying her weaving
       as they go

She does not die
       but spins again
       the pattern
       of her life

no fool is She
no more fool than I
       for travelling on
       a single thread
 because she knows
  having often seen

what comes from the center
       can never be
       forever broken.

I didn't even know her name...
Daughter of the Frog Princess
The Python
I Tried
Spare Parts
Do Me A Favor
Birth
Be A Good Sport

All poems on this site reprinted from I Didn't Even Know Her Name...
